A new report published by Bloomberg, mentions a potential new model for the Nintendo Switch! Possibly the “Switch Pro” model that has been rumored to have been in development for many years.
According to Bloomberg, individuals “familiar with the plan” have claimed that Nintendo is planning to announce a new model of Switch later this year.
This new model will reportedly come equipped with a “7-inch, 720p-resolution OLED display” manufactured by Samsung, and support “4K ultra-high definition graphics when in docked mode with a TV”.
Ironically this report comes after Nintendo’s President Shuntaro Furukawa said that the company was “not planning” to announce a new model of Switch “anytime soon”.
Having said that, with Sony and Microsoft having already launched their next generation consoles, now seems a likely time for Nintendo to release some sort of update to the Switch which is now 4 years old.
As with all rumors of this nature, please take them with a grain of salt at this time and we will be sure to report back with more details as they come.
