Have you been enjoying TY the Tasmanian Tiger HD on Nintendo Switch?
Well, it looks like the game’s beloved sequel may be on its way to the system in the future too!
Today, Krome Studios revealed to Kickstarter supporters that it was now exploring how to port TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue to modern consoles.
While Steam already hosts a HD remaster of the game for PC players, the developer shared that it would need time to figure out how to port this over to other systems.
Read the full update below:
“We’ve heard you. We’ve been listening and answering your questions about bringing TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue to consoles, too. It’s already been remastered in HD on the Steam platform (for PC). Textures, effects, user interface updates, etc. We’ve already started looking into the coding work to bring TY2HD to consoles. Yesterday, Steve broadcast his time reviewing TY2, looking for more art to improve. TY2HD was made with version 2 of our Merkury engine. We learned much bringing TY1HD across, but we have to start back at square one and figure out what we can update and improve. Nothing is happening on the console front this year. So, we’ll let you know early next year about another Kickstarter or news on a TY2HD release, or *shrug* anything else that might come up. Ta for a great 2020!”
TY fans will have to wait for more news on this project next year, but dont worry we will report back if we hear any more news!
