EA and Battlefield Studios have finally given fans a first look at the upcoming Battlefield 6. This next instalment got its first trailer this morning, and it's clear that the team are not holding back. The visceral gameplay, intense and gripping atmosphere, the scale of what the story entails and the absolutely jaw-dropping visuals show that Battlefield has returned. Not only is the long-running FPS franchise finally coming back, but EA and Battlefield Studios clearly have huge plans for both the game's multiplayer and single-player modes.
Battlefield 6: Single-Player Content:
The trailer sets the tone for the game, raising the bar for the scale, politics, and action that players will encounter throughout the campaign. The use of Bob Dylan's 'Masters of War' is a perfect song to complement the footage. The initial trailer of Battlefield 6 introduces us to Pax Armata, a Private Military Corporation founded and supported by members of NATO. Pax Armata's agenda will be the main threat of the single-player campaign. As we can see from the missiles, attacks and eye-opening warfare in the trailer, gamers are certainly going to be in the heat of battle. You will need to use every weapon at your disposal, as well as utilise a variety of artillery vehicles such as tanks and fighter jets. In both single-player and multiplayer, the squad you have will be the most essential tool in your arsenal, and maintaining this collaboration is crucial.
Battlefield 6: Multiplayer Content:
Battlefield Studios is the team behind Battlefield 6. The team is a supergroup of developers comprising employees from Criterion Games (Burnout and Need for Speed), DICE (Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefield), Motive Studios (Star Wars: Squadrons and Dead Space), and Ripple Effect Studios (Battlefield: 2042). Due to the huge amount of experience and diversity in the development team, Battlefield fans are hoping for a lot when it comes to the multiplayer modes. Battlefield 6 has something huge planned, and it's so significant that the multiplayer content is getting a dedicated livestream.

On Friday, August 1st at 4:30 am AEST, Battlefield Studios will show off some of the multiplayer modes coming to Battlefield 6. This event will showcase how Battlefield 6 is the franchise's most ambitious title, and it will also reveal some of the game's maps and multiplayer modes. All we know so far is that some maps from previous games are returning, as well as brand-new ones.
If you're looking forward to Battlefield 6, mark your calendar and watch live on YouTube or Twitch on August 1st. The next day, a number of content creators from around the world will share gameplay footage of Battlefield 6, giving everyone a better idea of how the game plays and what to expect.
Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10th 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
