Announcements and news on Forza Horizon 5, Flight Simulator, Dying Light 2 and plenty of Game Pass hype...

Xbox's Gamescom showing focused quite heavily on Game Pass but also featured some very exciting gameplay for games such as Forza Horizon 5 and Dying Light 2. Surprisingly though, Halo Infinite did not make an appearance.

If you weren't able to watch the full 1 hour plus change event, you can check out some of the best trailers here:

Flight Simulator has some very exciting updates coming, including a competitive multiplayer mode. A whole bunch of historic planes are also being added as wel as an update to Germany, Austria and Switzerland maps. Probably most surprising is going to be the addition of air taxis.

Next up is an update to one of our most anticipated releases of 2021. Dying light. Microsoft opened their presentation with a closer look at the follow up title to what is arguably one of the greatest games of the last generation. This trailer shone a little more light on both the zombies and the parkour for the game launching on December 7th

Probably one of the most exciting announcements aside from the obvious was the news that Microsoft will be bringing cloud gaming to Xbox consoles. meaning Game Pass subscribers will be able to play eligible game pass games without the need for hefty downloads.

Speaking of Game Pass, also announced were announced for the Xbox subscription service, this includes a raft of indie titles from Humble Games as well as a bunch more coming day one.

Now, we've saved arguably the best for last. Forza Horizon 5 is one of the most anticipated releases for Xbox this year and this 8 minute gameplay video showed us exactly why. Forza has always been a leader in visuals. Their environments are always stunning but this trailer showed us just what we can expect from the next instalment. As well as this gameplay footage, we were introduced to a couple of gorgeous cars The AMG One and the Bronco Badlands. Both of which will feature on the games cover.

As well as all the juicy in game news, Microsoft also announced a new Special edition Forza Horizon 5 Series X/S controller.

Its safe to say that Xbox had a rather Successful outing at this years Gamescom and certainly has me excited for the coming months.
