CD Projekt Red's new game, Cyberpunk 2077, has finally left the major development phase and been submitted for rating.
A Twitter Post from studio boss Adam Badowski announced it has now been submitted to local ratings groups, including the ESRB and PEGI. There is little doubt with what we’ve seen of the game-play, that an R18 label is sure to be applied for Australian copies.
While the rating process is under way, the team is now free to work on final polishing of the "technical aspects" of the game and developer play-testing - ironing out bugs and improving the 1.0 release in September. Hopefully the move to shift the release from April to September can be used to dramatically improve the day 1 quality of the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on all major platforms - PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X, likely to also include PlayStation 5 when Sony announce their latest flagship console in the coming months. Xbox players will also receive the bonus of "Microsoft's Smart Delivery" feature, so people who buy it on Xbox One can get the Xbox Series X version at no extra cost.
