Nanoleaf have been dominating the smart lighting industry since they launched with the help of Kickstarted back in 2012. The company have released a series of smart lights that easily attach to your wall and interonnect to make the shapes and design that you want.
Earlier in the year the company released hexagon shapes and now in that same line are releasing triangles and mini triangles allowing for users to mix and match designs to create something truly unique.
Adding in the mini triangles will allow the shapes to contort around smaller spaces and something for smaller spaces creating a more subtle effect. It can also be used for desks and for crafting that perfect gaming setup.
Along with the new shapes, the snap-on mounting system has undergone a revamp as well, it will be much easier to connect the shapes together and be confident that they will stay on the wall. "Nanoleaf’s vision for the Shapes Line is to give users the complete design freedom to create their most personal lighting experience yet. Smart lighting is about pushing the boundaries of possibility and that is exactly what we wanted to offer with our Shapes Line,” says Gimmy Chu, CEO and Co-Founder of Nanoleaf. “With the addition of Triangles and Mini Triangles, we’re allowing users to explore and create the optimal lighting for their needs. Bringing together smart technology and thoughtful design, the Shapes Line leads the Smart Decor category for a lighting experience that truly has no limits.”
Part of what I really love about the panels and can't wait to try out, is the touch enabled experiences. You can connect your smart devices to the panels and turn them on and off just by touching your Nanoleaf panels. If that wasn't enough the panels support traditional Nanoleaf features like screen mirror and Rhythm Music sync. This is all controlled by the Nanoleaf App on your smart device and even connects to Google Assistant, Apple Homekit and Amazon Alexa.
The company showcased some new products like traditional lightbulbs and strips that have been re-invented to work with the Nanoleaf ecosystem and you can also choose from the 16 million colour options to control the lighting in your home in one simple and easy to use app.
Nanoleaf have adopted the "one last thing" giving us a little teaser at what I can only guess could be outdoor lighting coming in the future. I don't know this for fact, but it is a guess based on the short little animated video that showed us the outdoors (we will of course keep you posted!)
