PAX Aus Unveils Massive eBay Tabletop Hall With New Magic: The Gathering Experiences, Major TCG Showcases and Unmissable Anniversary Celebrations

PAX AUS will showcase its largest tabletop area yet, with leading distributors and publishers, including Let's Play Games, Modern Brands and Asmodee bringing blockbuster trading card games, beloved tabletop franchises and highly anticipated new releases to the show floor.


Returning as this year's PAX AUS Tabletop sponsor, eBay Australia brings together fans, collectors, players and communities from across the country for a celebration of tabletop culture, collectibles and play. Bringing its biggest-ever presence to the show with the debut of eBay Live, fans can immerse themselves in The Collectors Club Studio, featuring special guests, live streams and Penny Drops across the weekend, while collectors of all experience levels can pick up a Collectors Club Card and complete challenges throughout PAX to unlock exclusive prizes.



Wizards of the Coast returns to PAX Australia 2026 with Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, welcoming both existing fans and new players to share in the fun. This year, Magic: The Gathering will feature a major tabletop presence promoting its latest set ‘Reality Fracture’, a new reality with alternate versions of your favorite characters and spells. The show will feature a Learn to Play area, special play events, a Magic: The Gathering shop, guest artists, meet & greets and a must-see live Commander Showdown on Sat, Oct 10, in the Main Theatre featuring international and Australian MTG creators. Dungeons & Dragons fans looking for their next adventure can explore a dedicated branded retail experience, showcasing the latest products, accessories, all in collaboration with Let’s Play Games.


Last year at PAX Aus, Riftbound: League of Legends Trading Card Game gave attendees the chance to experience the game on the show floor. This year, it's back and if you haven't had the opportunity to try it yet, there will be plenty of chances at PAX to get hands-on and learn from experienced staff. Set in the League of Legends universe and featuring iconic champions and regions from Runeterra, Riftbound is a must-try for League of Legends fans and TCG players alike.


asmodee's expansive lineup will feature major tabletop titles and new releases including Star Wars™: Unlimited, Homeworlds, Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Hunted, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Trick-Taking Game, Citadels Duel, Schadenfreude from Z-Man Games and the latest releases from Exploding Kittens, including Sell Me a Sasquatch, Exploding Kittens: Curse You, Flat Earth, I Suck at Drawing, Berry Cherry Parrot Punch, Exploding Kittens Rage Mode, 9 Lives and Boba Blast.


Visitors can also enjoy hands-on demos of LEGO® NINJAGO®, K-Pop Demon Hunters: Battle for the Spotlight and the new horror trading card game Hellbreak, while scheduled tournaments for Hellbreak (Friday) and Star Wars™: Unlimited (Saturday) will give players the chance to compete. Fans can also meet Australian game designers Jay Bendixen, Ryan Boucher, Natalie Delaney-John and Cam Jasson during special designer sessions for Gretchen's Garden and That Dicey Word Game.


Bandai Card Games will bring together some of the world's most popular anime and entertainment franchises, with attendees able to learn and play One Piece Card Game, Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World, Digimon Card Game and Gundam Card Game. Guided learn-to-play sessions will run throughout the weekend, alongside organised play events and tournaments for experienced competitors.


Fans of competitive strategy can step into the world of Flesh and Blood, where new players can learn the fundamentals through introductory sessions before putting their skills to the test in scheduled tournaments. The hero-versus-hero trading card game continues to grow as one of the most successful competitive TCGs in the world.


Players looking for something darker can discover the world of Cyberpunk CCG, with learn-to-play sessions and organised tournaments running across all three days. Whether visitors are completely new to Night City or already familiar with the Cyberpunk universe, the game offers fast-paced action and a welcoming environment for both casual and competitive players.

Modern Brands will bring the magic of Disney to PAX Aus with Disney Lorcana, alongside a game lineup celebrating fandom-driven play and collectible culture, with more titles to be confirmed.

From collectible card games and competitive strategy to social party games and iconic fantasy adventures, PAX Aus continues to cement itself as Australia's premier destination for tabletop culture and community. PAX Aus takes place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 9–11 October.


PAX AUS 2026 Welcomes More Gaming Icons to Melbourne

PAX Aus is bringing together an extraordinary line-up of creators, performers, storytellers, voice actors, and gaming legends this October, with a new wave of special guests confirmed for Australia's biggest gaming festival. From wrestling rings, gaming musical scores, and fantasy worlds to tabletop adventures and critically acclaimed video games, this year's guest line-up offers something for every kind of fan.  



Leading the announcement is Austin Creed, formerly known to wrestling fans as WWE superstar Xavier Woods. His passion for gaming has made him one of the industry's most recognisable crossover personalities, and he has become a global ambassador for the intersection of gaming and entertainment.  


Michael-Christopher Koji Fox and Toshio ‘Foxclon’ Murouchi from Square Enix will join PAX Aus for a special appearance celebrating the world of FINAL FANTASY XIV. Koji Fox is a highly respected localisation director who has worked on landmark titles across the franchise and serves as lyricist and vocalist for THE PRIMALS. Joining him is Murouchi, who serves as Head of Square Enix's Community & Service Division and Global Community Producer for FINAL FANTASY XIV.  


Australian-born actor, author, activist, and former Canadian parliamentarian Lenore Zann will make a special trip home to connect with the local community across all three days of the festival. Best known as the iconic voice of Rogue in X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men '97, Zann will join a fireside chat to share stories from her remarkable career in entertainment and her experiences as an acclaimed author and social justice advocate.  


Gregory Louden, an Australian creative director, brings a wealth of insight into leadership, narrative design, and world-building. His career spans acclaimed narrative-driven games, having worked on Quantum Break and the BAFTA-winning Returnal before directing PlayStation Studios’s acclaimed SAROS.  

Returning for PAX 2026 is comedian, actor, and writer Ify Nwadiwe, host of Dropout TV's Um, Actually. Nwadiwe brings his multi-hyphenated talent to the festival, having written for television shows like Twisted Metal and video games including Apex Legends and Borderlands 4.  


Award-winning Australian composer, producer, and sound designer Mick Gordon will take audiences behind the music that has powered some of gaming's most unforgettable moments. Gordon is renowned for his pulse-pounding soundtracks to DOOM, Wolfenstein, Prey, and Atomic Heart.  


Fans of live experiences can catch John Robertson, host and creator of The Dark Room, an interactive comedy phenomenon where audience members become heroes of a chaotic adventure. PAX Aus will also welcome Jasmine Bhullar, better known as ThatBronzeGirl, whose content celebrating gaming and pop culture has earned a devoted online following.  


Tabletop enthusiasts and fantasy fans have plenty to look forward to, including appearances from the legendary Good Games Morley team and Paul Tobin, Art Director at Chaosium, who has created artwork for iconic worlds like Call of Cthulhu and Pendragon. Beloved Australian fantasy author Isobelle Carmody, creator of the Obernewtyn Chronicles, will also bring her unique perspective on storytelling and imagination to the event.  


All these guests join the already-announced Storytime speaker, Holly Longdale, Executive Producer of World of Warcraft, who will kick off PAX Aus 2026. Lauren Luciani, Event Director of PAX Aus, noted that this year's guests represent the breadth of the community they celebrate and expressed excitement about welcoming them to Melbourne.
