Razer Announces Leviathan V2

Updated: Apr 25, 2022

Today Razer announced the all new iteration of the highly popular and extremely successful Razer Leviathan. Since its release in 2014 the Razer Leviathan has received numerous awards and accolades, and well, the Leviathan V2 looks set to take it to another level.

The biggest visual design change with the V2 will be the addition of Razer Chroma RGB lighting with the overall form of the speaker being pretty similar. But the biggest changes come from within. The Leviathan V2 will feature:

  • THX 7.1 Spatial Sound

  • A total of 7 audio drivers

  • Bluetooth 5.2

  • Razer Chroma RGB

  • Razer Synapse support

  • Very inviting price tag

Boasting “room filling sound and minimal footprint”. The combination of the 7 drivers which consist of 2 passive radiators, 2 full range drivers, 2 tweeters and 1 down firing subwoofer look set to deliver some of the most crisp, clear treble and deep punchy bass from just about any desktop audio device on the market. We got to preview the Leviathan V2 back in March and from what we saw, the Leviathan V2 looks incredible.

For anyone that has tried it before, you'll know just how impressive THX spatial sound really is. It almost perfectly delivers a full surround sound experience without the need for a bulk amount of speakers, and without shelling out almost $1000 plus, is in my opinion the best audio experience you can get short of wearing a headset. So you combine this technology with an overall 96dB sound level, and a market leading range of 45Hz- 20kHz. I think we’re in for a whole new ball game in terms of what's currently available on the market.

The addition of Bluetooth 5.2 allows you to seamlessly connect your Leviathan V2 to your PC wirelessly or to allow you to wirelessly connect to your mobile phone while simultaneously connecting to your PC via USB.

Let's talk about the price. What would you expect for a 7.1 surround system for your PC? $500?, $600? Well the Razer Leviathan V2 will cost just $409/$449. Which for what you get here, seems absolutely ludicrous to me.

I can't wait to get my hands on the Leviathan V2 and really put it through its paces.
