Sony paid $337 million for Insomniac Games.

Sony announced in August that it had acquired Insomniac games studio making it part of the Playstation family however until now the price they paid has remained unknown. Today, however Sony revealed just how much they paid to acquire the Ratchet & Clank and Spider-Man developer!

According to a filing made with the US Securities and Exchange Commission the acquisition cost Sony $337 million Australian Dollars.

Prior to the sale, Insomniac and Sony had been working closely for years, creating franchises such as Spyro the dragon, Resistance, Ratchet & Clank and of course Marvels Spider-Man. The deal means we can expect many more Playstation exclusives to come from Insomniac.
