PlayStation State of Play June 2022 - Kicking off the hottest month in the video game calendar
It's June which can only mean one thing - one of the most anticipated months of the year for video games is here! While E3 will unfortunately not being going ahead at all this year, we still have plenty of other events to look forward to. Including Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest, Netflix's Geeked Week: Gaming, Tribeca Games Spotlight and Xbox + Bethesda Showcase. You can check out what time the events will be held here via Summer Game Fest -. For us Aussies, we'll have to wake up pretty early if we're to watch these events live. So, who else is going to set their alarm and make the largest coffee they've ever had?
Kicking off the biggest month of gaming was PlayStation's State of Play, and in case you may have missed it or are looking for a refresher, we've got you covered (State of Play was on at an early time for us Aussies at 8:00am AEST). So, here's a list of all the announcements and updates - and there's quite a bit.
Starting off with Resident Evil 4 Remake
CAPCOM released the trailer for the Resident Evil 4 remake, which looks absolutely incredible and just as terrifying. This horror classic will release on PS5 March 24th, 2023 . However, that's not all! There's also some VR2 content in development to look forward to!
Speaking of VR2; VR2 games in development includes;
Resident Evil Village (Hello, Tall Vampire Lady Dimitrescu)
The Walking Dead : Saints and Sinners CH2 Retribution which will release sometime in 2022
No Man's Sky
Horizon: Call of the Mountain - One of our team members made note that it 'Looks like a Skyrim style take on Horizon' and honestly that's an incredibly accurate statement.
Major Updates for Horizon Forbidden West!
If you're looking to jump back into Horizon or are already keen for another playthrough, now is the perfect time to do so as it's available today with these updates;

Spider-Man Remastered coming to PC in 2022
Originally released in 2018 for PS4, and then again Remastered for the PS5 in 2020, Spider-Man Remastered will be jumping to PC August 12th, 2022!
Stray
A more in depth look on the gameplay where you're exploring a futuristic cybercity as a stray cat. Stray releases July 19th, 2022 for PS5 and PS4, and it will also be available on PS Plus Extra and Premium members on release day.
The Callisto Protocol
Trailer for the upcoming gruesome Sci-Fi horror thriller, this spiritual successor to Dead Space looks incredibly intense, creepy and interesting. The Callisto Protocol drops December 2nd, 2022 on PS4 and PS5.
Rollerdrome
Developers of the indie skate series OlliOlli have revealed their latest game- but this time it's with roller-skates - and guns - in a futuristic setting! Rollerdrome rolls onto PS4 and PS5 on August 16th, 2022 - See you on the rink!
Eternights
JRPG Hack and Slash action/dating sim. Find love in this apocalypse world in early 2023 on PS4 and PS5
Street Fighter 6
Street Fighter 6 looks to shake the fighting game formula up a bit and have some open world exploration in a fairly detailed city. It of course will still have the classic traditional 2D style combat as well, but it'll be interesting to see how it meshes together when it releases in 2023 for PS4 and PS5
Tunic
Originally released in March 2022 for Xbox and PC, Tunic has been described as a similar format to the likes of The Legend of Zelda action adventure RPG. Tunic will be making it's way to PS4 and PS5 later this year on September 27th.
Season: A Letter to the Future
With a variety of exploration to seek answers and people to talk to while riding your bike, this title releases Autumn 2022.
Final Fantasy XVI
This long running Science-Fantasy anthology RPG is slated for a Summer 2023 release.
